=== Lunch Meeting: Thursday November 16th ===
We can use presentations for upcoming meetings, please see [http://www.k-lug.org/Meetings a list of ideas] if you're willing but lacking a topic.
11:30 am near the Chinese restaurant in the Galleria.

=== Planned Social:  TBD, November ===
Suggestions welcome.  If no suggestions, will be a walking night on Monday November 27th.  Meet at Panera South by 6:30 pm, dress warm, prepare to walk ~1 hour 20 minutes with socializing and warming beverages at Panera afterwards.  Arriving late will make it hard for you to catch up with us.

=== Planned Technical Meeting:  TBD, December ===
== LUG News ==
Our traditional December meeting is gaming somewhere.  Some ideas have been gathered (below).  Feel free to suggest other ideas.

Investigated possibilities here include
We generally meet monthly for technical presentations (2nd Thursday of the month, 6 pm, virtual), and monthly for socializing (varies).  We no longer meet monthly for lunches, if you are interested in reviving this tradition please [http://k-lug.org/About contact an officer].

-computer gaming at Lounge 51 (formerly Xgames) with a charge per hour

-Xbox gaming at Chateau late at night with a per person charge and at most 4 play at a time per room but multiple rooms would be available

-Xbox gaming at Chateau with a room reservation fee with at most 4 play at a time

-free board games at Chateau for free with other families
=== Geocaching in-person social (outside), Friday May 3rd ===
6 pm

All of these things except the one where we have to commit to paying a room reservation fee are things that are open to the public.  Again, suggestions are welcome for date, time, or activity.  Our scheduled December meeting date is Tuesday December 12th.  We currently do not have a room reserved in RCTC, since I assumed this activity would take place off-campus, but I could work on getting it for us if we thought we'd need it.
Park and walk in a neighborhood in NE Rochester.

Park near [https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC3WQ84 1 - Odin] on Whiting Lane NE's cul de sac.  We'll walk from there to a couple of other geocaches ([https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC57FGC 2], [https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC4RPZ2 3]), then back to #1, and then decide if we're walking or driving to [https://www.geocaching.com/geocache/GC8M3FP 4].

=== Planned Social:  Monday December 18th ===
Long version:  Being a couch or computer potato and eating all of that good food is just too tempting this time of year.  Join us for an evening away from both of those on Monday December 18th.  Meet with other geeks to walk for ~1 hour and 20 minutes, and plan for time afterwards to socialize over a cup of something warm.  6:30 pm, Panera South (just inside the doors to the right).  Please don't be late, it'd be hard to catch up with us.  Dress warm, we're walking outside for the whole time, no matter what the weather.  This is a regularly occuring event on Monday evenings, so if you can't make this one feel free to join us for others.

Short version: Monday December 18th, 6:30 pm, Panera South, dress warm we're walking outside, don't plan to be done until at least 8 pm.

Paint Shop Pro, with PCIG.  Note this is not our usual date, nor a truly Linux option, but given the amount of interest in Robert Nix's GIMP presentation I thought there might be interest in comparing/contrasting.
