The next meeting will be on Thursday, May 12, at 6:00 PM. For more
information about future meetings, see the web site www.k-lug.org.

Reminder:

>>The first Social will be at O'Neils at 6:00 on April 28.

The Social for May was not decided. Suggestions ranged from food/drink
to pool to geeky movies. If you have an opinion, please post it on the
mailing list.

The Load Monitor project will be done on an LCD screen. Ren Tesher
and Denis Delorne volunteered to shop around for LCD display modules.
Jim Henderson and Jim Evans volunteered to shop around for enclosures
and bezels. Mark Harris and Brian Horihan volunteered to investigate
connectors, shrouds, power supplies, and any other odds and ends required
for the project. They will report their findings at the next meeting.
At that point we will have a better idea of how much the kit will cost.
At that point we will start collecting fees for the kits, so bring your
piggy bank along.

Steve Fox reports that Bootcamp will not happen this month and that he
expects it to happen in June. If you would like to volunteer, send him
e-mail (drfickle@k-lug.org).

Kevin Arhelger demonstrated the MythTV box that he has been working on
for the last few weeks. Despite the projector's font problems, it was
most impressive.

Mark Harris presented a basic tutorial on kernel modules. He also covered
the basics of standard parallel port operations. And to top it all off,
he demonstrated the LED display that we talked about at the last meeting.
It was very cool.

Finally, Dennis Delorne showed off his 4x20 LCD display, which he had set
up to display CPU usage, memory usage, and a variety of other information.
