What is Golgotha?

It's a hill. It's also the machine that hosts the LUG site.

It's old, loved by many, and feared by most, however, in the big scheme of things, she's still basically an old PIII.

The Machine... The Myth

Current Software

History

She started off as a PII 450 in 1998, and acted as a dns server running RedHat 5. Eventually she moved over to a PIII and some services were consolidated. The PIII 800 at the time had just come out, and boy did she look (and smell) perty. She wore RedHat 6 and then 7. A few script kiddies decided to mess with the box, so os cruft be damned, she was reloaded with CentOS. This served her well for a year before another security incident prompted the migration over to OpenBSD.

March 24th, 2006, We swapped out the old motherboard and proc (800MHz) for a new 3.2GHz P4 running on a DFI board.

Golgotha Statistics

Currently, we are polling the Net-SNMP daemon every five minutes with MRTG. Here are a few of the available statistics.
