Since we aren't having a technical meeting on our regular night, come socialize with your favorite geeks.  A group of us play frisbee (disc) golf once a week at East Park.  While you're always welcome to join us (see the [http://www.google.com/calendar/embed?src=ODkyNDg3ZWZpbWh2OWduMHFyMTNtdG9qamtAZ3JvdXAuY2FsZW5kYXIuZ29vZ2xlLmNvbQ unofficial activities calendar]), this month it's our official in town social.  6 pm, East Park (kiddie corner NW of the Heintz Center), bring something to throw.  No experience necessary.

A field trip to see this year's Studio Academy FIRST Robotics League robot, we'll be at Studio Academy for their presentation, 6 pm.

[http://www.geocaching.com/seek/cache_details.aspx?wp=gc1n445 GPS Adventures Maze Exhibit] and the [http://www.putnam.org/index.html Putnam Museum] in Davenport, IA.  Yep, road trip time!  Some of us will probably make this more than a day trip.  Carpools and hotel arrangements will shortly be organized on the [http://www.k-lug.org/SocialMeeting Social] page.  The Putnam Museum will have 2 IMAX movies playing (one of which will be Kilimanjaro).  Their special exhibit will be the GPS Adventure exhibit.  Their permanent exhibits include "river, prairie & people", "black earth, big river", "hall of mammals", "Asian, Egyptian gallery", the "discovery room", and photography of "Iowa's wild places".

Well, not really a crisis, but we do need some meeting topics (& speakers) for 2009. We'd like to know what you want to see and hear about. Please email Tina or Tim with suggestions for topics. Should we run some previous sessions again (maybe something you really wanted to see but missed out on)? What type of topics are good, what type are bad? Park and walk a park in NE Rochester, where new trails went in last year.

Park east of Churchill Elementary School on Northern Heights Drive NE, looks like it might just be a curbside instead of a lot. We'll walk from there through the two stages of GCANZKD in Northern Heights Park, and decide on the fly if we're taking a path out of the NE side of the park to also grab GC9W5MG.
