=== Social:  Sunday May 4th ===
We generally meet monthly for technical presentations (2nd Thursday of the month, 6 pm, virtual), and monthly for socializing (varies).  We no longer meet monthly for lunches, if you are interested in reviving this tradition please [http://k-lug.org/About contact an officer].
Frisbee golf, 1:30 pm at Bear Cave Park, Stewartville.  If you're late because of church, etc, feel free to arrive when you can.  Anyone interested in spending more time outside is welcome to join Tina for some geocaching afterwards.


Directions to Bear Cave Park:  Take Hwy 63 south to Stewartville.  Turn right (west) onto 10th Street NW, this is the 2nd possible right after the I-90 interchange.  The park will be on your left (south), find some place to park - in March we parked at the snow dumping ground on the west end of the park.  If you get to 11th Ave NW, you've gone too far.




=== Technical Meeting:  Thursday May 8th ===
For May, we visit Rochester's Studio Academy School and visit their FIRST league robot. The Rochester Public School Robot Team will demo as well.  This will be a field trip, meet at Studio Academy, and we're currently planning on providing pizza and pop, so RSVPs will be requested - email Steve Fox.

Disc golf! This time we're going to Byron.  The [https://udisc.com/courses/byron-links-dgc-421X course] is just south of the Byron west stoplight.  We waited until fall to let the wild parsnip flower heads (reported location of the 2nd half of the course) quit shedding pollen everywhere; but you still don't want to touch the plant.  If the course turns out to still be too unenjoyable, we'll shift a few blocks NW to [https://udisc.com/courses/klingvall-park-kXgO Kingvall Park], and try their disc golf course instead.

Fall opportunity to take care of our community by picking up trash and getting some geocaching credit while we're at it.  Bring your own gloves, but no water edge to deal with this time.

Tim Massaro will do a trip report on his attendance at the Bay Area Maker Faire. It's the 20th anniversary of the mother of all Maker Faires originally started by Make Magazine.

Day trip to the Cities for the [http://www.smm.org/starwars/ Science Museum's Star Wars exhibit].  Available June 13-August 24.  Tickets are anticipated to need to be purchased in advance due to high demand, so we'd not only need to agree on a day, we'll have to try to get a weekend far enough in advance that we can all get entry tickets for approximately the same time.  If we get 15 or more people to commit and turn over money in advance, we can make group reservations - at least one month notice would be required for this as well.<br>


While we're in the Cities for a day, we could also plan to hit up things like [http://www.gameworks.com/locations/minneapolis.php GameWorks] (large video game arcade / bowling/ restaurant), the [http://www.imax.com/minnesota/ IMAX] at the zoo, and/or woods paintball at [http://www.mnpropaintball.com/index.html Pro Paintball].  Other ideas to make a full day of it are welcome.
