Technical meeting: Thursday November 11th

Due to low enthusiasm levels we've cancelled the annual swap/sale this year. Instead we'll have another presentation on our regular night.

6 pm in RCTC Heintz Center's HA107. Jon Tollefson will present on Android Kernel Internals - comparing Android to Linux with details especially useful for Android App developers.

Lunch: Thursday November 18th

We've had suggestions of counting the October 30th rockets as an October/November social, going to see "The Social Network", attending a November 6th Open Mapping party of Como Zoo, and again generally had a lack of response. Voices please.

"Technical Meeting": Friday December 10th

Due to lack of input as well as former hosting sites such as p0wned having gone out of business, Tina is hosting a gaming night at her house. Email her if you need directions. Start time is still in flux, probably 6 or 7 pm. Note that this is NOT our usual second Thursday, we pushed it back one night so people don't have to deal with getting to work in the morning.

We play whatever you bring. Please consider bringing a folding table and chairs, board games, card games, video games, video game system accessories, and/or snacks. Tina can provide one table, ~7 chairs, lots of floor space, a large yard with some floodlights, two tv's, a Wii with some games but only 2 controllers, a PS2 with some games (and again only 2 controllers?) including DDR with one dance pad. RSVP's of the types of stuff you're bringing would be appreciated so we don't have overstocks of some items such as four people hauling their folding table and chairs.

Speaker needed. If you're willing to speak but need some topic ideas, there's a list of things your fellow K-LUGgers have requested presentations on here.

Upcoming Meeting Crisis!

Well, not really a crisis, but we do need some meeting topics (& speakers) for 2011. We'd like to know what you want to see and hear about. Please email Tina or Tim with suggestions for topics. Should we run some previous sessions again (maybe something you really wanted to see but missed out on)? What type of topics are good, what type are bad?
