Outside Social: Saturday October 7th

Geocaching! We're celebrating International Earth Cache Day by geocaching at Quarry Hill, primarily to find the earth cache there. But depending on everyone's walking stamina these days, we'll also hunt other geocaches in the park. If you've never geocached before, this is a great time to join us. Wear your hiking shoes, long sturdy pants, and otherwise dress for the weather.

1 pm, Quarry Hill Park, at the Nature Center parking lot.

Litter Bit Better in-person social (outside), Tuesday April 25th

6:15 - 7:30 pm

A new to us park! Manor Park, which can be entered from 3rd St NW, we will be gathering just off the edge of the parking lot.

Bags provided. You bring your own gloves, grabbers, mask if desired, and sense of civic duty. This park doesn't have any shoreline, so hopefully we can leave the muck boots at home and bring home dry children.

As usual we are teaming up with the geocachers to avoid being overwhelmed by garbage. I'll be arriving a little late, so you'll need to look for the group.

CANCELLED Disc Golf in-person social (outside), Friday April 21st

The ground is drying up, and the holes are posted, so it's time to start disc golfing!

6:30 pm - the new disc golf course in Zumbrota, at the Covered Bridge Park.

Park around here. If it's already full, there's more parking further down the road to the west.

First hole is around here.

Don't worry, there will hopefully be lots of disc golf this summer. Just not this time.

Tim Massaro will give us a demonstration on Dalle2:

Is anyone interested or knowledgeable in chatGPT, I haven't had time to look into it enough for a demo, but I have looked into Dalle2 enough to present a short demo. My understanding is Dalle2 uses ChatGTP to dynamically produce very interesting artwork based on user input such as "show me an impressionistic image of a Monkey riding a dinosaur along a beach at sunset".
